Boku no Koi no Hanashi Himegoto

The summer sun beats down on the school courtyard, where Umehara, a member of the art club, finds himself sentenced to weeding duty as punishment—and assigned to work alongside Mizue, a classmate he has never gotten along with. To Umehara, it seems like the worst possible way to spend an afternoon. Yet what begins as a miserable chore takes an unexpected turn. Somewhere between pulling weeds beneath the blazing sun, Umehara realizes that his old irritation has given way to something far more troubling: a genuine crush on Mizue. With no idea how to handle these feelings and no one he can confide in, he does the only thing he knows how to—he pours his heart into his paintbrush. Then Mizue makes a startling request: he wants Umehara to draw a picture of him. Before long, the two are spending their afternoons alone together in the art room after school, a canvas stretched between them. With every stroke, Umehara's hidden feelings grow harder to contain—but how much longer can he keep what's in his heart a secret?
