Issho ni Kaero.

Konomi Wagata presents a charming collection of humorous short stories, each spinning everyday life into delightful and unexpected comedy. The centerpiece follows a young girl who, in a moment of earnest affection, makes a heartfelt promise to her crush: she will take in and care for a stray dog he has grown fond of. What begins as a simple act of devotion quickly spirals into a whirlwind of chaotic pet-parenting mishaps, testing her resolve and forcing her to navigate the fine line between romantic idealism and the messy realities of responsibility. The anthology extends its lighthearted touch across a variety of equally endearing scenarios. In one tale, an ordinary schoolgirl finds her routine turned upside down when a sudden surge of exhilarating—and possibly overwhelming—adventure crashes into her life, threatening to sweep her off her feet. Alongside these central narratives, Wagata treats readers to a medley of quirky escapades: the festive surprises of "Wonder Party," the spirited antics of a friendly rivalry in "ZOO-tto! Rival," and the deeply personal (and comically fraught) family dynamics explored in "Watashi no Katei Mondai." Through each story, Wagata weaves a warm, witty tapestry of youthful clumsiness and genuine heart, proving that even the smallest moments can hold the greatest hilarity.
