The Awkward Steps of Love

Spring of his sophomore year should be a time for Kotaro to enjoy his youth, his freedom, and campus life to the fullest. Instead, with neither a girlfriend nor a single close friend, his days have passed unremarkably. Then one day, Miyako—Kotaro's childhood friend—asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend so that she can turn away Aoi, a boy whose advances she does not welcome. Before Kotaro can even give her an answer, he runs into Aoi by chance, and the two end up having tea together.
