Shin no Jitsuryoku wo Kakushiteiru to Omowareteru Seireishi, Jitsuwa Itsumo Meccha Honki de Tatakattemasu

In a world where Spirit Mages defend humanity against evil threats by borrowing the power of spirits bound to them through contracts, Roak Aleas stands out at Utrea Academy, the prestigious institution that trains these warriors. A second-year student whose skills rank second in his entire year, Roak should be hailed as a prodigy—yet he has never once summoned a contracted spirit. This baffling discrepancy has the whole academy convinced of one thing: he must be deliberately concealing his true power. The reality, however, is far less glamorous. Roak has no spirits to summon at all—the only spirit he can contract with is a mere micro-spirit, and every ounce of his strength comes from endlessly honing his swordsmanship and martial arts. While everyone around him assumes he is holding back hidden abilities, Roak is in truth fighting with everything he has, battling desperately just to survive each encounter. His precarious balancing act now faces its greatest challenge yet, as he is chosen for an expedition into the Lunar Ruins, a site of extreme danger. This is a tale of magnificent misunderstanding—a "hidden powerhouse" who surpasses even the strongest not through secret talents, but through sheer, unrelenting effort.
