Haru no Regista

Arai Haru was once celebrated as a soccer prodigy, but she has since walked away from the sport entirely. Seeking a fresh start far removed from her past, the high school girl transfers to a distant school with every intention of leaving the pitch behind forever. She hopes that by distancing herself from her hometown and everything associated with her former glory, she can quietly build a new life unburdened by the weight of her abandoned ambitions. Her carefully constructed distance is shattered by the arrival of Osanai Satsuki, a new student who idolizes Haru’s legendary playing days. Refusing to let her hero fade into obscurity, Satsuki boldly announces her plan to join the school’s struggling soccer club—an organization currently on the brink of disbandment. Her unwavering determination forces Haru to confront the very passion she tried so desperately to escape. Together, their intertwined paths ignite a compelling girls' soccer narrative centered on two contrasting spirits: one who surrendered her dream, and another who relentlessly chases it. In soccer terminology, a regista is a deep-lying playmaker positioned just ahead of the defense, responsible for dictating the tempo of the game and bridging the gap between defense and offense through precise distribution—a role that mirrors the delicate balance these two girls must strike to revive their team.
