Girls und Panzer: Little Army

Serving as a prequel to the main anime series, Girls und Panzer: Little Army explores the formative years of Nishizumi Miho during her time in elementary school. Long before the events that would define her later life, young Miho experiences her very first encounters with the friends who would eventually join her inside a tank. These early bonds are forged through a shared introduction to the world of armored vehicles, offering a glimpse into the innocent beginnings of relationships that will profoundly shape her future. As Miho and her newfound companions learn to ride tanks together, the story delves into the emotional undercurrents of her childhood. Rather than simply celebrating the thrill of the sport, the narrative carefully traces the subtle pressures and personal conflicts she faces at such a young age. Through these early experiences on the battlefield, the manga reveals the pivotal moments that challenge her enthusiasm for the family tradition she was born into. Ultimately, this foundational chapter provides crucial context for Miho’s character arc. It chronicles the specific circumstances and heartfelt struggles that lead her to make a defining choice: to turn away from tanks entirely. By exploring the origins of her reluctance, the story adds profound depth to her eventual journey, illustrating exactly how a young girl's initial passion transformed into a determined desire to escape the armored treads of her past.
