My Supernatural Power Is a Chinese Gacha Game

Eleven months after quitting an exploitative company, thirty-four-year-old unemployed Naoya Morikawa is living at his parents' house when a game-like interface suddenly appears before him. Known as the Causality Convergence Chronicle, the system functions exactly like a modern Chinese gacha game, complete with character pulls, weapon banners, levels, skills, and pity mechanics. When Naoya uses his free ten-pull to summon a four-star character named Sena Shinonome, he physically transforms into a beautiful black-haired swordswoman. His new combat abilities and skills are entirely real. Unbeknownst to Naoya, the world has always been home to espers, supernatural anomalies, non-humans, and otherworldly dungeons. Registering with Yatagarasu as a Tier 3 esper, he begins taking freelance jobs tailored for ability users. His motivation extends beyond simply re-entering society; intervening in real-world events and altering outcomes rewards him with cultivation materials and premium gacha currency from the system. Whether clearing otherworldly dungeons as a vanguard, neutralizing anomalies, or working as a bodyguard and rescue operative, Naoya earns both Japanese yen and in-game rewards. Best of all, no one on the job knows that the elegant swordswoman is actually a burnt-out middle-aged man. This is the story of an exhausted former salaryman who gradually discovers a work style that suits him while unraveling the true nature of his absurd supernatural power.
