Renkinjutsushi to Ao no Tomoshibi

Coco is a beautiful homunculus left behind by a great alchemist master. Joshua, a young alchemist, travels alongside him. Though Coco lacks emotions, he remains the only partner Joshua can truly trust. To conceal his true identity, Coco pretends to be human, hiding what he really is from the world around them. Yet a contradiction lingers in their journey. Every night, with passionate eyes, Coco holds Joshua close—an act whose reason remains unclear. For a being said to possess no feelings, this intimate habit raises questions that Joshua cannot easily ignore. As they travel together, the bond between alchemist and homunculus is shaped by trust, secrecy, and a strange tenderness that Coco’s hidden nature leaves unresolved.
