Set in the three-hundredth year of the Divine Era, the story follows Yuuna Yuuki, a second-year middle school student who appears to lead a perfectly ordinary life. Beneath her everyday routine, however, she carries a far heavier responsibility as an active member of her school's Hero Club. While most student organizations focus on typical extracurricular activities, this particular group is tasked with a much more daunting purpose that sets them apart from their peers. The true nature of the Hero Club revolves around confronting enigmatic and dangerous entities known as the Vertex. As these mysterious beings emerge, Yuuna and her fellow club members must step beyond the boundaries of their normal adolescent lives to engage them directly. Balancing the familiar demands of middle school with the perilous duties of a hero, Yuuna finds herself drawn into a conflict where the safety of her world rests squarely on the shoulders of those chosen to fight.
