Kujaku is a young Ajari—a monk possessing both a pure heart of mercy and the formidable ability to vanquish all evil. Having inherited the sacred title of the Peacock Lord, he wields the ancient powers of esoteric Buddhism as he journeys across the land, battling malevolent monsters, demons, and restless spirits. His mission begins when a terrifying creature manifests at a television station. However, upon closer investigation, Kujaku discovers that the entity is not merely a mindless beast, but rather the manifestation of a powerful grudge born from a vulnerable victim who was ruthlessly exploited by the network for higher ratings. As his journey progresses, Kujaku gradually awakens to increasingly godlike abilities within himself. What starts as a localized confrontation against human greed and supernatural malice expands into a far greater conflict.
