Anone

A young girl matures in the quiet sanctuary of her refuge, experiencing the natural milestones of adolescence—a developing body, the anticipation of her first menstruation, and the innocence of a first kiss. Yet this tender coming-of-age is set against the darkest backdrop imaginable. Through her tragic fate, Anne became the world's most renowned victim of war, while Hitler's ruthless leadership cemented him as history's most infamous symbol of conflict. Driven by boundless imagination, Machiko weaves these historical figures together with Hanako and Tarou, crafting a narrative that seamlessly transcends both space and time. The story shifts fluidly between the harrowing realities of wartime and the present day, connecting disparate lives through an impossible thread. It is a profound exploration of innocence colliding with absolute tyranny, bridging eras to examine how deeply personal growth intersects with global catastrophe. Ultimately, this manga presents the most inconceivable "boy meets girl" scenario ever conceived. It is a haunting tale where vulnerability faces unchecked power, culminating in a devastating dynamic where the boy destroys the girl.
