Kagerou Daze

Set against the sweltering backdrop of August 14th and 15th, Kagerou Daze follows Shintaro Kisaragi, a young man who has crowned himself the absolute ruler of his own bedroom. For two entire years, he has stubbornly refused to step outside, perfectly content to isolate himself from society within the four walls of his room. His self-imposed exile is abruptly shattered when his computer suffers a catastrophic crash, stripping away his only connection to the outside world and leaving him with no choice but to face reality. Reluctantly dragged back into the unforgiving summer heat, Shintaro ventures out into the very streets he had sworn to avoid forever. However, his forced excursion quickly spirals far beyond a simple errand. Instead of a quiet trip to fix his machine, he inadvertently walks straight into the heart of a dangerous hostage crisis. Thrust into a life-or-death situation entirely unprepared, the reclusive shut-in must suddenly navigate a chaotic nightmare that will permanently alter the trajectory of his secluded existence.
