Magokko Kinta

Set against the turbulent backdrop of Japan’s Sengoku period, Magokko Kinta follows the life of a young boy named Kinta who was orphaned by the ravages of war. Left to fend for himself in an era defined by conflict, he carves out a modest livelihood through a highly unusual profession: operating what amounts to a private taxi service. Riding his beloved horse, Shimbori, Kinta transports paying passengers along the rugged roads, offering them safe passage and guided travel through a fractured land. However, this seemingly straightforward enterprise quickly takes a darker turn. Despite his honest intentions, the clientele drawn to Kinta’s services is far from ordinary. For reasons unknown, the travelers who seek out his horse are exclusively villainous figures—dangerous individuals with sinister motives navigating the chaos of the warring states. Bound to his work and reliant on Shimbori for survival, Kinta finds himself thrust into a perilous routine, constantly ferrying the worst elements of society while trying to endure the harsh realities of his era.
