Mask Danshi: This Shouldn't Lead to Love

Sayama is a deeply pessimistic student who navigates his daily school life hidden behind a face mask, using it as a barrier against the world. His carefully guarded routine shatters when Saikawa, the most popular boy in their class, impulsively tears the mask away out of sheer curiosity. The sudden exposure leaves Sayama furious and lashing out, yet his harsh reaction unexpectedly achieves the opposite of pushing Saikawa away. Instead of being deterred, the charismatic classmate finds himself thoroughly captivated by the masked boy’s intense response. Driven by this newfound fascination, Saikawa proposes an unconventional arrangement: he offers to tutor Sayama academically, but attaches a bizarre condition to his help. In exchange for his guidance, Saikawa demands unrestricted access to touch whatever lies beneath the mask. For Sayama, having anyone make physical contact with his bare face, lips, and mouth is a source of profound distress and something he actively despises. However, despite his deep-seated aversion to such intimacy, he finds himself increasingly unable to resist the magnetic pull of Saikawa’s persistent attention, setting the stage for a complicated dynamic that neither of them anticipated.
