Itoshima, a second-year high school student and the star catcher of his baseball team, poured his entire heart into the sport he loved. However, fate proved merciless when a devastating, irreversible injury stripped him of his passion, leaving him adrift without the one thing that gave his life meaning. Meanwhile, first-year Saitozaki quickly discovers that his early days of high school are far from the idyllic youth he envisioned. Instead, he finds himself constantly battling unreliable bus schedules, unfeeling teachers, and disciplinary punishments so severe they threaten his very safety. When Itoshima unexpectedly steps in to help Saitozaki during a moment of desperate need, their lives become intertwined. In the aftermath of this encounter, Saitozaki begins experiencing unfamiliar emotions he never anticipated, all stemming from his connection with the older boy. As these two struggling students navigate their respective hardships, they must decide whether to remain victims of circumstance or seize control of their own futures.
