Each time, the food is delivered by Cha Ji-Hun, a caretaker whose demeanor remains unfailingly gentle regardless of the circumstances. No matter how hostile or cutting Gi-Tae acts toward him, Ji-Hun responds only with warm smiles and tender concern, projecting an aura of pure devotion. Yet trust is a luxury the captive simply cannot afford. Beneath Ji-Hun’s soft words and nurturing behavior lies a horrifying reality that shatters any illusion of safety. The man who so carefully tends to Gi-Tae’s daily needs is the very same person responsible for severing his foot. Trapped in this suffocating confinement, Gi-Tae must navigate a deeply unsettling dynamic where his sole companion is also his mutilator, leaving him to wonder what other dark truths remain hidden behind the walls of his prison.
