Synesthesia

Stage actor Yakumo Harumi auditions for a boys' love drama adapted from a novel written by his uncle, hoping to secure a role in the prestigious production. During the casting process, he encounters Kou Yumesaki, an immensely popular actor notorious for his unprofessional behavior toward potential co-stars. Kou has developed a reputation for rejecting every candidate auditioning for the romantic lead, claiming he simply cannot bring himself to kiss any of them, a selfish stance that deeply irritates Yakumo and threatens the integrity of the entire project. The situation takes an unexpected turn when Kou suddenly kisses Yakumo during their interaction, shattering all prior expectations and professional boundaries. To Yakumo’s astonishment, this impulsive act leads directly to his selection as Kou’s on-screen love interest, placing him at the center of a complex dynamic both on and off stage. Now cast opposite the very actor whose conduct he found so objectionable, Yakumo must navigate the challenges of portraying intimacy with someone whose real-world behavior initially sparked his frustration, all while bringing authenticity to a story intimately connected to his own family.
