My Daughter is a Zombie

A full year has passed since a catastrophic zombie outbreak claimed hundreds of thousands of lives across South Korea, and the nation has officially been declared free of the undead menace. Yet, amidst this hard-won peace, Jeong-Hwan harbors a dangerous secret that could shatter the fragile stability of post-apocalyptic society. His young daughter, Su-Ah, remains the last known zombie on Earth, hidden away from a world that would never accept her existence. While she is technically infected, her condition presents a unique anomaly that defies the mindless violence typically associated with the affliction. When Su-Ah’s hunger is satiated and her aggressive impulses subside, she displays glimpses of humanity that suggest a possibility for normalcy. These moments of lucidity offer Jeong-Hwan a sliver of hope that his daughter might one day live an ordinary life despite her supernatural nature. However, maintaining this facade requires constant vigilance and emotional fortitude, as any slip could lead to devastating consequences. The central tension lies not just in managing her condition, but in the terrifying uncertainty of how long he can conceal her true identity from neighbors, authorities, and a traumatized public still reeling from the horrors of the recent past.
