In the year 20XX, faced with a relentless surge in violent crime, the government takes drastic action by experimentally reviving the exile system. Rather than executing sixty-two offenders whose crimes warrant the death penalty, authorities banish them to a remote, isolated landmass known only as Lawless Island. Among these condemned individuals is a young man who never belonged there. After his family is brutally slaughtered, he is framed for the massacre and cast out to this unforgiving penal colony. Upon arrival, he quickly discovers that the reality of Lawless Island is far more terrifying than anything he could have anticipated. Surrounded by society's most dangerous outcasts and stripped of all legal protection, he must navigate a nightmarish environment where survival is never guaranteed. As he struggles against both the island's ruthless inhabitants and the injustice of his false conviction, a harrowing tale of endurance begins to unfold. This critically acclaimed thriller serves as the official prequel to the hit survival manga Suicide Island, which has sold over 3.3 million copies worldwide. It masterfully explores the dark, untold events that set the stage for the original series, delivering a shocking narrative that expands the franchise's gripping lore.
