A Man Who Defies the World of BL

Our protagonist is an entirely ordinary, heterosexual man who has recently come to a startling realization: he exists within the universe of a boys' love manga. Surrounded by conventionally attractive men and romantic setups at every turn, he finds himself constantly targeted as a potential love interest. Determined to maintain his straight lifestyle and avoid being swept up in any unwanted romances, he devises a meticulous plan for self-preservation. To outsmart the narrative forces working against him, he immerses himself in studying every boys' love manga he can find. By analyzing these stories, he transforms himself into an expert on the genre's most common tropes and clichés. Armed with this encyclopedic knowledge, he learns to identify romantic red flags before they develop, allowing him to successfully dodge the persistent advances of handsome suitors through calculated evasive maneuvers. For the time being, his strategy proves remarkably effective, keeping him safely out of any romantic entanglements. However, surviving indefinitely in a world fundamentally designed to pair men together is no simple feat. No matter how well he understands the rules or how skillfully he avoids them, resisting the very nature of a boys' love universe remains an uphill battle that will continuously test his resolve.
