Kuzumi Mari is a dedicated shoemaker whose profession has given her an unusually discerning eye for the human form, particularly the legs and feet of those who walk through her world. Her daily routine takes an unexpected turn when she spots a passerby whose legs captivate her completely. Unable to contain her professional admiration, Mari inadvertently murmurs aloud just how beautiful they are, unaware that her quiet observation carries far enough to reach its subject. The voice draws the attention of the stranger, prompting Mari to look up from the limbs that so thoroughly enthralled her. Instead of a confident pedestrian, she finds herself locking eyes with the owner of those striking legs—a young girl currently overcome by tears. This unguarded moment transforms a simple passing glance into something deeply personal, bridging the gap between a craftsman's aesthetic appreciation and another person's raw vulnerability. What begins as an accidental compliment quickly becomes the catalyst for an unforeseen connection. Bound together by this sudden, emotionally charged encounter, the shoemaker and the weeping girl find their lives unexpectedly intertwined. Their fateful meeting marks the beginning of a story born not from grand design, but from a single, honest slip of words on an ordinary day.
