In 1965, while still a high school student, Kuniko Tsurita made her historic debut as the first newcomer published in the newly launched avant-garde manga magazine Garo. Through her striking science fiction short stories, she explored surrealism and masterfully captured the cultural zeitgeist of the 1960s. Her promising career was ultimately cut short when she succumbed to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an incurable disease that claimed her life. This comprehensive anthology collects Tsurita's works spanning from her debut to the final years of her life, featuring twenty-seven distinct stories including "Flight," "My Wife Is An Acrobat," "The Tragedy Of Princess Rokunomiya," and the previously unpublished 1970 piece "65121320262719."
