On an April evening in Tokyo, long before the summer fireworks season begins, introverted university student Kakeru Sorano crosses paths with Koharu Fuyutsuki. Vibrant and strikingly beautiful, she possesses a radiant warmth that stands in stark contrast to Kakeru’s quiet nature. She laughs easily and commands attention effortlessly, but there is one crucial detail Kakeru does not immediately realize: Koharu is completely blind. Despite her lack of sight, Koharu refuses to let anything hold her back. While Kakeru has quietly resigned himself to his own limitations, she navigates university life with relentless determination—attending classes daily, exploring club activities, and building genuine friendships. Most surprisingly, she harbors a seemingly impossible dream of launching her own fireworks display one day. Kakeru cannot fathom why someone who will never see the brilliant colors would chase such a goal, yet he slowly realizes that her reasoning might not matter at all.
