When Akane Morito transfers to a new high school, he hopes the change of scenery might finally breathe some life into his dull, monotonous existence. Desperate to find a sense of belonging and perhaps discover a worthwhile hobby, he begins exploring the various extracurricular activities available on campus. His search eventually leads him to the doors of the school's Mystery Club, an organization that seems like the perfect escape from his gray daily routine. However, Akane quickly realizes that joining this particular group is not as simple as signing a form. Once he steps inside, the eccentric members make it abundantly clear that leaving without officially becoming part of their ranks is simply not an option. Trapped by their enthusiastic insistence, he reluctantly agrees to join, only to uncover the club's true and astonishing purpose. Far from solving ordinary puzzles or discussing detective fiction, the Mystery Club harbors a far more ambitious agenda: they are actively plotting to conquer the world. Thrust into this bizarre conspiracy, Akane finds his mundane life taking a wildly unexpected turn as he becomes entangled in his new classmates' grandiose scheme for global domination.
