Official Details
"Rinpun Yaku" is a curated anthology of avant-garde one-shot manga created by Yuko Tsuno, originally serialized in the legendary alternative manga magazine Garo between 1991 and 2000. The collection comprises nineteen distinct stories, including "Gyakushima," "Slow Hot Wind," multiple chapters of "A Taste of Honey," "Pale Beryl," "Fantail," "Canary," "Kikukaten," "Identical Twin's Garden," "Mirror Scrying," "Sundish Memo," "Swing Shell," the titular "Rinpun Yaku," "Citrine Citron," "Mi o Yoko Taete," "Mirror Scrying II," "Kisetsufuu," "Hirihiri Suru (Midori)," and an early remix piece titled "Energy." A revised edition of the anthology expands the original lineup by adding "Mizuumi," a three-part story initially published in late 1998 and later completed with newly drawn material. Together, these works represent a comprehensive retrospective of Tsuno’s surreal, experimental storytelling during her prolific run in Garo, showcasing her distinctive approach to atmospheric and unconventional narrative art across two decades of independent publishing.
