Hanayamata

Hanayamata is a Manga originally published in Hana to Yume. Fourteen-year-old Naru Sekiya embodies the quintessential definition of normalcy - unremarkable in both intelligence and physical abilities. She leads a mundane life, devoid of any extraordinary experiences, until a transformative encounter with a mysterious foreign girl on a moonlit night. This enigmatic girl introduces Naru to the captivating world of yosakoi dance, a traditional Japanese folk dance that sets her on an unforgettable journey. As Naru becomes increasingly immersed in the world of yosakoi, she discovers a sense of belonging and purpose she had previously lacked. The dance becomes an integral part of her life, allowing her to transcend her ordinary existence and forge meaningful connections with her new friends. However, the allure of the extraordinary world of yosakoi dance also poses a challenge to Naru's perceptions of herself and her place within it.
