Also known as Hebi Onna, this harrowing tale explores the terrifying legend of the Snake-Woman across three chilling arcs. Following her discharge from the hospital, Yumiko's mother begins acting strangely, soon revealing her true identity as a monstrous Snake-Woman with an insatiable hunger to devour her own daughter. Seeking recovery from this traumatic ordeal, Yumiko is sent to a remote mountain village to stay with her cousin, Kyouko. However, upon her arrival, the superstitious villagers recoil in fear, accusing Yumiko herself of being the dreaded Snake-Woman. The final arc serves as the origin story of the Snake-Woman and the fourth installment of the Yamabiko Shimai series. Youko, a friend of Satsuki and Kanna, bears a generational curse stemming from her grandfather's assault on a guardian snake spirit. After a giant snake claims the life of her last living relative, a mysterious woman from a neighboring village takes Youko in, leaving a deeply concerned Satsuki to worry for her friend's safety.
