Wicked City

Beyond the boundaries of human perception lies a hidden realm inhabited by demons. For centuries, these otherworldly beings have crossed into the mortal plane, driven by a variety of motives. While some seek nothing more than a quiet life, new adventures, or ordinary employment, countless others harbor far darker intentions. These malevolent entities thrive on chaos and destruction, preying upon humanity by feasting on both flesh and fear. The only barrier preventing total annihilation is a fragile peace treaty negotiated between the two worlds. This tenuous agreement serves as the sole shield protecting humankind from utter devastation, holding back a tide of supernatural violence that constantly threatens to spill over into everyday life. As long as the pact endures, an uneasy coexistence remains possible, though the line separating order from apocalyptic ruin grows thinner with each passing day. Detailed synopses for each volume are available in the extended information section. Notably, only the first novel in the series served as the source material for the Wicked City anime adaptation.
