Shin Gunjou Senki

Michirou is a dedicated college student training to become a mountain rescuer, but his life is overshadowed by a devastating family tragedy. His younger brother, Makoto, has been incarcerated for the attempted murder of a close friend. During a tense visit to the detention center, Makoto poses a haunting question: what truly separates a wartime hero from a murderer? While Michirou argues that the distinction lies in the cause one fights for, Makoto cynically insists it is merely a matter of the era in which they live. As Makoto’s prison sentence is finalized, Michirou finds himself pushed to the brink of despair, struggling to cope with the weight of his brother's fate and his own helplessness. Just as hope seems entirely lost, an inexplicable phenomenon shatters reality. A sudden downpour of crimson rain begins to fall from the sky, quickly followed by a thick, unnatural mist that completely engulfs the detention facility. When the eerie fog finally clears, the modern world has vanished entirely. The concrete walls and familiar surroundings have been replaced by the chaotic, blood-soaked landscape of Japan’s Warring States Period, thrusting Michirou into a brutal historical nightmare where the line between heroism and murder may no longer exist.
