The World's Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker

Arihito Atobe spent his days trapped in the exhausting grind of corporate life, only to have it abruptly cut short by a bizarre bus accident. Instead of fading into oblivion, he awakens reborn in a fantastical realm where individuals known as Seekers brave treacherous labyrinths for a living. Eager to leave his grueling past behind, Arihito embraces this second chance and steps forward as a newly minted adventurer, ready to forge an entirely different path. Upon entering this new world, he discovers that he has been assigned a previously undocumented job class: the rearguard. Though positioned at the very back of the formation, this unique role proves indispensable, allowing him to provide his exclusively female party with vital offensive power, defensive shielding, and essential recovery support. His unconventional abilities make him the cornerstone of every expedition, ensuring his companions can face any threat with confidence. Beyond his tactical utility, Arihito's class comes with an unexpected passive benefit—simply standing behind his teammates gradually deepens their affection for him. Liberated from the soul-crushing shackles of his former office existence, he now navigates a vibrant life filled with dungeon exploration, powerful allies, and growing bonds, fully determined to thrive as Labyrinth Country’s most capable novice Seeker.
