Kizumonogatari: Wound Tale

Beneath the solitary glow of a streetlamp in a quiet Japanese town, a pale, blonde woman lies abandoned. She has been stripped of all four limbs, yet she remains terrifyingly alive. Whispers have already begun to spread among the local girls, claiming that a vampire has arrived in their remote community. Koyomi Araragi, however, pays little mind to such talk. A staunch loner who believes that forming friendships would only diminish his intensity as a human being, he naturally dismisses the rumors as baseless gossip. Yet, on the first day of spring break, reality shatters his skepticism. While walking home with a freshly purchased stack of morally questionable magazines, Araragi is suddenly beckoned by the very creature he refused to believe in. The bloodsucking demon—whom he considers a concept outdated twice over—calls out to him from the midnight shadows. What begins as an ordinary evening quickly spirals into a harrowing encounter, forcing a boy who avoids all human connection to face an impossible, undead entity bleeding out beneath the provincial lights.
