Onimonogatari: Demon Tale

The Darkness is not an aberration but rather the fundamental law of the cosmos, an inexorable executioner from which no mark can permanently escape. Unlike typical supernatural anomalies, this void represents nonbeing itself, swallowing all in its path with absolute certainty. When it finally arrives, the most fortunate victims are merely granted a fleeting moment to bid farewell before being consumed. This primordial force is neither malicious nor benevolent; it simply exists as the ultimate end, and now, it has come calling once more. Centuries before her failed suicide attempt or her eventual arrival in Japan to seek death, the legendary vampire Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade first encountered this terrifying phenomenon. Her initial contact with the Darkness occurred during a monumental leap from Antarctica to the Land of the Rising Sun, ending a long and solitary sojourn in the frozen wasteland. It was in that distant era, four hundred years prior to present events, that the proud noble created her very first thrall and faced the anti-aberration that defies all conventional understanding of monsters and mysteries.
