Sakura Kyou

After losing her parents, orphaned Katsuko is taken in by her wealthy aunt. However, adjusting to her new life proves difficult when she must endure the constant teasing of her impulsive cousin, Kyou. Matters grow more complicated when the two girls begin attending the same school, where Katsuko quickly finds herself drawn into a web of social dynamics. She joins the singing club and meets its haughty president, Komori, alongside the diligent Narumi and the captivating upperclassman Saeki. Beneath the surface of their daily routines, strange tensions simmer. Kyou and Komori share a bitter rivalry, constantly clashing with one another, while Narumi begins treating Katsuko with cold hostility, mistakenly believing the newcomer intends to steal Saeki—the boy Narumi has secretly loved since childhood. The true source of the animosity between Kyou and Komori is eventually brought to light: Kyou is actually the daughter of Komori’s father’s mistress, who happens to be Komori’s own mother. Having read her mother’s diary, Komori harbors deep jealousy over Kyou holding the central place in their mother’s heart. Ultimately, it falls to Katsuko to bridge the divide between the two fractured families and help Narumi finally reach the heart of her beloved Saeki.
