Arete Hime

In a kingdom where the princess's hand in marriage is sought after by competing knights, Princess Arete feels suffocated by her isolated existence within the castle tower. Yearning to experience the world beyond her window, she observes the common folk at work and longs to travel to distant lands depicted in the forbidden books she secretly reads. When the sorcerer Boax arrives in a magnificent flying machine, he presents Arete with an unexpected proposal: he will take her as his wife and transform her into a suitable princess, offering her a chance to escape her stifling life and explore the world she's only known through her imagination.
