Mirai Nikki

Yukiteru Amano is a second-year middle school student who struggles to form meaningful connections with his peers. Viewing himself as nothing more than a passive observer of the world around him, he spends his days meticulously recording everything he witnesses in a diary on his cell phone. The crushing weight of his isolation eventually leads him to create an imaginary companion: Deus Ex Machina, whom he envisions as the supreme Lord of Time and Space. However, Yukiteru’s solitary existence takes a drastic turn when Deus, observing the boy's miserable condition, decides to intervene. The deity grants Yukiteru an extraordinary new ability, transforming his ordinary cell phone diary into a tool that records events destined to occur in the near future. What initially seems like a remarkable gift quickly reveals itself to be a perilous burden. Thrust into a high-stakes survival game orchestrated by Deus himself, Yukiteru finds his life irrevocably changed. He is forced to compete against others in a deadly contest where the ultimate victor will earn the right to become the successor to the Lord of Time and Space. No longer a mere bystander, Yukiteru must now fight for his future using the very diary that once only recorded his lonely present.
