Ergo Proxy: Centzon Hitchers & Undertaker

Set within the expansive and atmospheric universe of Ergo Proxy, this side story shifts its focus to a solitary AutoReiv navigating a world defined by ruin and uncertainty. The narrative follows this artificial being as it embarks on a journey aboard the Centzon, a vessel traversing the desolate landscapes that characterize this dystopian setting. Far from the central conflicts of the main storyline, this manga offers a distinct perspective on existence outside the domed cities, exploring what it means for a machine to travel through a fractured world. As the AutoReiv rides along the Centzon, the story delves into themes of purpose, autonomy, and survival in an environment where both humans and machines struggle to find meaning. The voyage serves as a backdrop for quiet introspection and unexpected encounters, highlighting the harsh realities faced by those who wander the wastelands. By centering on a lesser-known traveler rather than the primary protagonists, the manga expands the lore of the Ergo Proxy universe, providing readers with a compelling, self-contained exploration of life on the margins of a decaying civilization.
