Aka no Sekai

This volume presents a compelling collection of short stories, anchored by its titular narrative, "Aka no Sekai." Set against the backdrop of a rural boys' summer camp, the story follows Regulus, a reluctant participant who finds himself far from eager to spend his vacation in the countryside. His experience takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to share a room with Milan, a naturally cheerful and spirited boy whose bright demeanor contrasts sharply with Regulus's initial reservations. Shortly after their arrival, however, the peaceful atmosphere of the camp begins to fracture. A disturbing shift ripples through the group as several of the other boys start exhibiting deeply unsettling behavior. Driven by a bizarre and singular fixation, they wander about declaring an overwhelming desire to see the color red. As this strange compulsion spreads and the situation grows increasingly dire, the unsettling mystery threatens to consume the entire camp. With danger closing in, Regulus and Milan must set aside their differences and work together to unravel the truth behind the boys' eerie transformation before time runs out entirely.
