Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls

Set in an alternate timeline where the Tokugawa shogunate never fell and Japan remained completely isolated from the outside world, Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls unfolds within the sovereign nation of Great Japan. At the heart of this reimagined history lies Buou Academic School, a prestigious academy nestled at the base of Mount Fuji. Here, the children of elite military families undergo rigorous training to become the next generation of samurai warriors. However, the academy is far from peaceful. A fierce power struggle has erupted between the formidable student council that governs the institution and the rebellious Toyotomi faction, spearheaded by Yukimura Sanada and Matabei Goto. Caught in the crossfire of this escalating conflict are Muneakira Yagyu, the young master of the Yagyu Dojo, and the enigmatic Jubei Yagyu, whose sudden appearance draws them both deep into the political turmoil threatening to tear the school apart. The narrative breathes new life into legendary historical figures from Japan’s Sengoku and early Edo periods, reimagining them as students and warriors within this unique setting. The story even extends beyond Japanese borders, introducing Charles d'Artagnan, a character drawn from the corresponding era of European history, further enriching the series' blend of fact and fiction.
