Galt Luzen is the Demon Lord of his continent, though he is far from a tyrant. Following the death of his wife, he withdrew from society and quietly focused on his duties. His isolation ends when Angelica, a righteous paladin and Hero dedicated to vanquishing evil, challenges him to battle. Despite her fierce determination, she proves no match for his power and is swiftly defeated. Rather than harming her, Galt gently carries the unconscious heroine and her party members back to their respective families so they can recover from their wounds. Upon delivering Angelica home, Galt meets her mother, Reitia—a woman who bears a striking resemblance to his late wife. Over a shared cup of tea, the two form an unexpected connection, and overwhelmed by resurfacing emotions, Galt impulsively proposes marriage. To his astonishment, Reitia accepts. Now, the Demon Lord must navigate life as the stepfather to a Hero sworn by blood oath to destroy him. Set in a world where the ancient conflict between good and evil is treated with the casual enthusiasm of a sporting event, this story explores whether an unlikely family can bridge the ultimate divide.
