Yubisaki no Koi

Detective Maizuru Motoya harbors a profound secret he can never share with the assistant he has fallen in love with. Beneath his composed exterior lies an extraordinary ability: with a single touch, he can read another person’s thoughts. The origins of this power are buried deep in his past, but its presence dictates every interaction in his present. To protect both himself and those around him, Motoya is forced to maintain strict physical boundaries, carefully avoiding any accidental contact that might expose the inner workings of his mind. His assistant, Nakagawa, remains entirely unaware of his respected boss's supernatural gift. Instead, Nakagawa finds himself increasingly troubled by Motoya’s persistent refusal to allow even the slightest physical proximity between them. This deliberate distance only deepens Nakagawa’s quiet anxieties, especially as he watches Motoya interact effortlessly with others. Adding to Nakagawa’s growing unease is the detective’s unusually close relationship with a man named Hajime. Caught between unspoken feelings and mounting suspicion, Nakagawa struggles to understand the true nature of the barriers Motoya so desperately keeps in place.
