Taiyou no Mokushiroku

In the early years of the twenty-first century, Japan is struck by a catastrophic chain of massive earthquakes and violent volcanic eruptions. The worst imaginable disaster unfolds, leaving the nation utterly devastated and physically fractured into two separate halves. Tens of millions perish in the calamity, and the country's economy collapses entirely. Amid the ruins, the surviving remnants of Japan fall under the control of foreign occupation, as so-called aid forces from the United States and China move in to assert their authority over the shattered land. Against this bleak and unforgiving backdrop, a remarkably resourceful young boy named Genichiro Ryu fights to stay alive. Navigating the perilous landscape of a broken nation, he refuses to surrender to despair. Instead, Genichiro becomes a beacon of relentless hope for those around him, spreading an unwavering optimism that defies the devastation. He reminds the survivors that beyond the suffocating clouds of ash and ruin, the sun continues to shine and the sky remains blue, offering a powerful message of endurance in a world that has lost nearly everything.
