Aoba-kun's Confessions

Mayo is a high school student who lives on the fringes of her social world, struggling deeply with communication and connection. Seeking a way to navigate her difficulties, she takes on an unusual role at a place known as a Listening House—a unique establishment where her sole responsibility is to sit in silence and absorb the troubles of others. For someone who finds it nearly impossible to express herself, offering a quiet ear seems like the perfect solution. However, her very first assignment completely upends her expectations. The person sitting across from her is none other than Aoba-kun, the celebrated star of the school’s basketball team. To the rest of the student body, he appears to be a flawless individual who has everything figured out. Yet, behind his confident exterior lies a complicated and burdensome situation that he desperately needs to share. The weight of his confession threatens to overwhelm Mayo, testing whether her limited interpersonal skills can handle such an intense burden. What follows is the beginning of a hidden bond between two starkly different teenagers: a girl who cannot find her voice and a boy who seemingly possesses every advantage. Together, they navigate a secret relationship built entirely on unspoken understanding.
