Koisuru Harinezumi

Within the halls of his school, Hozuki has earned a formidable reputation as an unapproachable loner. He deliberately isolates himself from his peers, showing no interest in forming friendships or participating in the usual social dynamics of student life. More than merely distant, he is openly hostile toward anyone who attempts to breach his personal space, readily resorting to physical violence to drive away those who try to get close. To the rest of the student body, he is someone best left entirely alone, a volatile presence defined by his aggression and absolute refusal to fit in. However, a fellow student named Kii observes him with a different perspective. Rather than seeing a mindless troublemaker, Kii recognizes that Hozuki’s violent defensiveness closely mirrors the behavior of a frightened hedgehog raising its quills to protect itself from perceived threats. Intrigued by this guarded nature and convinced that there is more beneath the hostility, Kii makes a bold decision. Instead of keeping a safe distance like everyone else, Kii becomes the latest individual to step forward, determined to break through Hozuki's sharp exterior and forge a genuine connection with the boy who pushes the entire world away.
