Otogiri Tobi is a second-year middle school student burdened by a bleak and isolating daily existence. Throughout this grim endeavor, Tobi’s only companion is Baku, an inhuman entity that remains steadfastly by his side. Accustomed to solitude, the young boy rarely interacts with anyone else, keeping the rest of the world at a careful distance while he navigates the emotional weight of his missing sibling. However, the stagnant rhythm of Tobi’s life is disrupted when a classmate named Shiratama Ryuuko unexpectedly approaches him.
