Chikyuu Daisuki! Kikkun

The animated series follows the unexpected journey of Kikkun, an extraterrestrial life form who travels across the cosmos from a distant planet with a singular, ambitious objective: to conquer Earth. As part of a larger invasion force, Kikkun and his assigned team are deployed specifically to Japan to initiate their campaign of planetary subjugation. However, upon arriving in the country, the alien operatives quickly discover that their new environment is far more welcoming than they ever anticipated. Rather than executing their hostile takeover, the invasion squad finds themselves thoroughly enchanted by the comforts and appeal of Japanese life. The once-determined conquerors gradually abandon their original mission as they settle into their surroundings, growing increasingly fond of the culture and lifestyle they were sent to destroy. What begins as a calculated military operation transforms into a peaceful existence, with the extraterrestrial visitors choosing comfort over conquest. Ultimately, the former invaders completely forget their initial motive for arriving on the planet. Instead of threatening humanity, Kikkun and his team develop a deep affection for their new home. Embracing their roles as unlikely guardians, the aliens dedicate themselves to protecting both Japan and the entirety of Earth, turning a potential interstellar crisis into a heartwarming tale of cosmic adaptation and newfound loyalty.
