ambivalent garden

Two young souls emerge into existence from identical lotus flowers, blossoming within the tranquil beauty of an idyllic grove. Though they are born as perfect mirrored reflections of one another, they simultaneously stand as absolute polar opposites in nature and essence. This serene paradise serves as the backdrop for their sudden awakening, a place where natural harmony masks deeper mysteries waiting to unfold. Upon their arrival, the pair is approached by a gaunt, enigmatic figure who resides within this secluded sanctuary. Without malice or hesitation, this mysterious presence extends a welcoming offering: a single fruit, freshly plucked from the surrounding foliage. The gesture appears innocent enough, an act of hospitality meant to nourish these newly formed beings as they take their first moments in the world. However, the decision to partake in the fruit’s sweetness carries profound weight. Consuming the offered gift is not without consequences, setting into motion an irreversible chain of events that will forever alter the destiny of these two contrasting souls. What begins as a peaceful introduction to their shared environment quickly transforms into a pivotal moment, binding them to a fate shaped entirely by that first, fateful taste.
