In the aftermath of a devastating war, three young women serve as soldiers in a desolate, snow-covered wasteland. Their mission is to patrol the frozen expanse and hunt down remnants of the Iron Army—unnerving, once-human weapons crafted from flesh. Among the trio, Gros and the notably inexperienced Leichte look up to Esus, whose strength and wisdom set her apart as their natural leader. Yet even the most capable among them carries hidden burdens. Beneath her composed exterior, Esus harbors deep vulnerabilities and emotional wounds that refuse to heal. The harsh environment they navigate mirrors the internal struggles each soldier faces as they confront the lingering horrors of the conflict. Driven by duty and an unspoken need for resolution, the three press forward into the deadly, sprawling sea of white. Somewhere within this unforgiving landscape lie the truths they desperately seek—answers that may finally ease Esus’s suffering and expose the terrible secret buried at the heart of the war itself.
