Whereabouts of Tomorrow: Ashita no Arika

In 2021, Asumi works as a salesperson at Kobe Steel, struggling to find purpose in her career while feeling powerless against the company's mounting challenges. Convinced that her future holds no promise, she prepares to resign. However, just as she is about to inform her superior of her decision, a mysterious beam of light emerges from a corporate history book and transports her back to Kobe in 1905. There, she meets the passionate visionaries who founded Kobe Steel during the Meiji era. Among them is Torasuke, an earnest but clumsy young man driven by grand ambitions and a steadfast belief in industrial progress. Bound together by the legacy of the Kobelco Group, Asumi and Torasuke embark on a journey through time, spanning from the company's origins to the modern day. Along the way, they witness generations of people overcoming adversity and pursuing innovation with unwavering optimism. Inspired by the enduring spirit of these founders, both travelers ultimately discover their own resolve and choose distinct paths toward tomorrow.
