Leviathan

In an alternate version of 1914 defined by global conflict, Alek, a fugitive prince of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, finds himself on the run. Meanwhile, Deryn Sharp, a bold young woman, has disguised herself as a boy to enlist in the British Air Service. Their disparate paths converge when fate brings them together aboard the HMS Leviathan, a colossal airship constructed entirely from genetically engineered living creatures rather than conventional machinery. Bound by circumstance and the relentless pressures of war, the two must navigate their hidden truths while surviving aboard this extraordinary vessel. As they journey forward, Alek and Deryn are drawn into a sweeping adventure that threatens to reshape the world around them. Their alliance forces both to confront deeply held beliefs regarding loyalty, the nature of warfare, and the true meaning of identity in a fractured era.
