EMBERS

Years ago, the elite Hell Hunters of Ember City saved a young village boy named Duanmu Yeyu, igniting his lifelong dream to join their ranks. Now boarding a bus toward the metropolis to finally pursue that ambition, Yeyu unknowingly steps into the crossfire of a looming war. The sinister Lucifer has dispatched MIKO-Taiyi, a bioengineered operative, to infiltrate Ember City and steal classified intelligence. After a brutal clash with the Hell Hunters leaves Taiyi critically wounded and unconscious, Yeyu discovers the fallen stranger and, ignorant of the operative’s true allegiance, carries them back to the Hunter base for medical care. In doing so, he inadvertently takes possession of a vital mission device. As Yeyu begins his long-awaited initiation trial, this single innocent act triggers a catastrophic chain reaction. Desperate to evade Ember City’s defenses, Taiyi must covertly approach the aspiring recruit to reclaim the stolen technology. Simultaneously, Lucifer unleashes tens of thousands of minions to hunt down the missing operative. What began as a boy’s journey toward heroism rapidly escalates into a sprawling, citywide conflict, threatening the very survival of Ember City itself.
